For these Adult Make & Take kits we are making Valentine's Day wreaths. These kits do need a hot glue gun. Please let us know if you need to check out a hot glue gun when you pick up your kit. Registration is required for this event. Pick up dates will be February 4-5. Please give the library a call at 319-393-1414 to schedule your pick-up time.

This year we are offering table packages in order to facilitate social-distancing measures. Guests who would like to make a reservation only need to reserve one table based on how many people will be joining their group. For example, if your party has 4 people you only need to purchase one 4 seat table for $40. Prices listed here are per table, NOT per person. Party of up to 6: $60 per table Party of up to 4: $40 per table Party of up to 2: $20 per table We do have some single seats available at the bar for $10 each. Back by popular demand! This self-guided shop hop of Czech Village and New Bohemia businesses is planned for Valentine's Weekend. Start at any participating business to pick up your bracelet. As you stop by each location, collect charms and build a snazzy new District bracelet. More details to be released soon on the facebook event page. COVID regulations will be followed throughout the District.

Love's a Joke Comedy Show

Enjoy a good laugh about love and relationships with 4 Iowa comedians the eve before Valentine's Day! Please feel free to pick up food from one of the restaurants downtown and bring it to the show! A much-needed comedy-show to start the year off right, laughing about love and relationships with your special someone and friends!

Travis Bails, Melanie Mackey, Donny Townsend and Haley Call will take the stage Saturday, February 13th to give you a fun night of love and laughter at The Olympic South Side Theater. Also enjoy beverages at the bar, along with two lovely drink specials!

Tickets are sold by the table, not individually. Tables for 2, 4, 6 and 8 people are available. You may choose a table for the size of group you have. You do not have to fill the table (ex. You may purchase a table for 4, but only have 3 people). ALL COVID GUIDELINES WILL BE FOLLOWED: Social Distancing. Face Masks Required to Attend. Mask MUST be on when walking around but may be taken off while seated.

Join us for the return of NewBo City Market’s CineVino, a one-of-a-kind event celebrating Iowa wine. Wine lovers will enjoy a screening of Netflix’s Uncorked (2020) and sip on numerous samplings from several local wineries. Your ticket will give you access to the film screening, as well as wine tastings featuring a variety of fine local wineries, a decadent chocolate truffle, personal charcuterie board, and a stemless wine glass to take home. Attendees will also receive a wine score card so they can keep track of which wines they liked best throughout the night and a “People’s Choice Award” will be awarded at the end of the night! Our HOG Chapter will be serving Chili to you at your tables. The tables will be spread out throughout the dealership.
