Singer Ann Wilson and her sister/guitarist Nancy put Heart on the rock n' roll map and in 2013 Cleveland put them in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. These days Ann is on the road with her own band and it’s proving that she belts them out with true swagger and verve. At the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center in Cedar Falls recently Wilson and her band relived classics like "Crazy on You", "Barracuda", "Magic Man" and a surprisingly number of cover songs from such classic rock bands as Led Zeppelin and The Who.
Heart has come through the Heartland a couple of times in recent years and their shows never fail to impress. Now going solo, Ann and her young band prove that she can hold her own. Not only that, she highlighted tracks from her recent Hope & Glory CD, which features the likes of Allison Krause, Rufus Wainwright, Elton John and sis Nancy, to the delight of the Heart/Nancy Wilson fans whooping and a hollerin' that evening.
